Metroad 10 was introduced beteween Neutral Bay to the intersection of Pacific Hwy, Gore Hill Fwy and Longueville Rd at Lane Cove while Metroad 9 replaced State Route 69 between Windsor and Campbelltown, splitting State Route 69 in half. As a result, Metroad 5 was extended south from Prestons along the Hume Highway to Narellan Rd to meet with the new Metroad 9.
